DESCRIPTION:

Enchanted Circle Theater is widely recognized as one of the best educational theater companies in New England. Its productions are cross-cultural and multidisciplinary, integrating music, dance, theater, literature and the visual arts.

ECT serves 25,000 students and teachers each year, with programs designed to bring other cultures to life, to encourage students to read, and to help them use creativity as a learning tool. ECT tours six full-scale productions to schools and cultural institutions, offers an array of artist-in-residence programs, teacher-training symposia and creative arts classrooms and workshops. It collaborates with local community organizations on projects relating to social and human-service issues.

Founded in 1976, Enchanted Circle has performed in more than 2,000 schools, museums and cultural institutions in New England. Although the company has toured from Maine to South Carolina, most of the performances have been in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Patrons are needed statewide to support this renowned Massachusetts educational resource.
