DESCRIPTION:Northeast Youth Ballet (NYB) was founded in 1996 to give more children throughout the Greater Boston area opportunities to participate fully in a pre-professional dance environment. Designed to inspire, motivate, and guide its students' personal, technical, and cultural development, the program includes everything you can think of — from weekly instruction through educational demonstrations and lectures, to elaborate productions. NYB's budget is supported by tuitions, charitable contributions by individuals and local businesses, and more than 100 volunteers. Scholarships are available for qualified students, and discounted admissions for performances to other charities such as special needs groups, elderly services, underprivileged families, and schools.
NYB is an excellent, proven organization with an even larger vision. Your support will enable it to expand its community outreach, create a youth mentoring program, offer more scholarships, invite guest choreographers and artists, and much more. They want to build the "dream" dimension of their programming — to expand the horizons and dance options of their most talented and deserving students.
