Greater Marlboro Programs

For the last 20 years, Greater Marlborough Programs Inc. (GMPI) has responded to the needs of mentally retarded and developmentally delayed citizens and their families in the Greater Marlboro area. From recreation and socialization programs, to a residential program and advocacy services, GMPI serves over 200 individuals and 100 families annually. Its transportation program is the only program in the greater Marlborough area to provide door-to-door transportation to work for its clients. In an area where public transportation is limited, this transportation service is crucial to providing its clients with a link to the real world. Additionally, GMPI provides more than 100 adults with Medicaid transportation to their medical appointments each week. These flexible services promote the rights of people with mental retardation to be respected as individuals, to make their own decisions, to equality, to personal growth, to participate fully in their community, and to be safe. Isn’t that what we all want? Please help.
