GIVE THANKS BY GIVING

Charitable giving is mostly seasonal; more charities are in closer touch with more donors during their “annual appeals” in the year-end holiday season, than at any other time of year. This is potentially a great occasion: the subject is quality of life for all our citizens, through everyone’s private initiatives. The purpose of Giving Massachusetts Day is to fortify this opportunity, by focusing on it at a time when families are already together for the Thanksgiving holiday, and gratefully mindful of the blessings of their own lives. Log onto the Internet on the day after Thanksgiving, or simply take time to respond to your philanthropic mail, and “Give Thanks by Giving.”
